Tostado is a specialty small batch coffee roaster that sources sustainable green beans, farmed in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Chiapas and Oaxaca, México. The beans are roasted in Southeast Portland. Their mission is to support indigenous communities through fair trade sourcing and creating awareness about farmer’s hard work, the impressive supply chain, and all the people involved behind a great cup of coffee! Their retail bags come with a handcrafted pom poms (colors may vary) made with love by indigenous women from the Tenejapa village. They do this as a way to give an integral support to the community. Choose from Palenque / Chiapas, México (light roast w/ tasting notes of maple and orange) or Tonalá / Chiapas, México (medium/dark roast w/ tasting notes of dark chocolate and cherry).
